"Shoes" won the Award of Success at the 19th Annual Cartoon Contest of the Aydin Dogan Vakfi Foundation, in Ankara, Turkey, in November, 2001, a competition for which 4301 cartoons had been submitted by 1436 participants from 94 different countries (www.aydindoganvakfi.org).
